I have served on the board for nearly 19 years and I am honored by the confidence the Ever'man members have shown in me by allowing me to serve so long. When I started in 1991, Ever'man’s annual sales were approximately $200,000 a year. Now they are at $8,000,000 a year! Many people have helped us get to where we are and I am proud to have been a part of that team. I believe our best days are ahead of us as we continue to find new and better ways to meet our member's needs.
My "day job" is working as a School Social Worker for the Escambia County School District. I Hold degrees from Pensacola Junior College, University of Alabama, University of West Florida and Troy University. I have a passionate interest in healthy whole foods and the absolute importance of a good diet as well as a clean environment.
Never hesitate to call or email me if you have questions or concerns.
Lauren Southern-Godwin
I have a B.S. from Boston University in TV/Film and Educational Media and have been a teacher at Montessori School of Pensacola for over five years.
I see being an Ever'man board member as a chance to help spread the importance of healthy food options in our community. I have experience with management, environmentally and socially conscious organizations, and in the arenas of education and awareness. Having worked in media (PBS, BBC in London, and children’s publishing), I know that what is presented to the mainstream public is not normally healthy and/or green. Also, having been a teacher, I see what children eat, and how obesity is on the rise, and believe that it starts at a young age.
I am the children's coordinator for the local Greater Good Music, Art, and Children's Festival and also volunteer with the children's activities of another festival in Live Oak, FL. I hope that Ever'man will continue to be a leader in health, wellness and community service.
Dawn Vorthmann
My name is Dawn Vorthmann and I was appointed to the Board in September, 2007 and elected Treasurer in March, 2008. In my career I have earned a Florida CPA certification, an MBA, and a BA in Accounting from UWF. I have over 20 years experience, including three years as an IRS agent, public auditing, and teaching at PJC.
I have been an active Ever'man member for many years, and have taught several seminars at Ever'man on nutrition, natural health, and detoxification. One of my passions is protecting our environment, especially through recycling. Another is educating the public on the importance of organics and healthy diet.
I became interested in serving on the Board so that I could utilize my accounting background in service as an advisor, and I am excited about helping steer the COOP towards a prosperous future while providing our unique services to the community.
Frankie Cruz
After spending most of my young adult life moving two or three times a year for the adventure of it, I moved back to Pensacola in 2009 and made the decision to spend some time digging my feet into the community more permanently. Since I was very young I've had a relationship with Ever’man. Its existence has been a rock in my life while everything else shifts. In my travels I've visited dozens of cooperatives, and worked with a handful as either an employee or a "working member". I've brought what I learned back home and hope to use this experience to make wise decisions on the Board of Directors, so that together we can help serve our beautiful and diverse community.
Mary Mundy
I am a mother of two young boys and an artist. I was born and raised in Pensacola. I earned an A.S. in Graphic Design in 1998 and an A.A. in Education in 2008. I was an Ever'man employee from 1999-2007. I had many duties and worked in several departments during my time as an employee. A majority of my time was spent working in the grocery department and running the bulk herbs department. I educated the staff and customers on herbal medicine, natural foods and health. I enjoy learning how to grow and use medical herbs. After taking a year off to raise my family, I ran for the board of directors Ever'man and was elected in 2008. I look forward to many more years of service to our members and community. I am currently attending UWF, pursuing a bachelor's in Elementary and Exceptional Education.
Michael Kovach
After serving on the board for the past three years, I intend to apply the experience I've acquired with board procedures to further influence board decisions for the best interests of the membership as a whole. My biggest concern continues to be the cost of shopping at Ever'man and my most important priority will be to push for ways to lower prices whenever possible. I have an Engineering degree, Doctor of Chinese Medicine degree and have been practice for eleven years as a licensed Acupuncture Physician. This background gives me a clear perspective of natural health issues combined with an ability to analyze and solve complex organizational problems. With the state of the economy, rising food prices, and the need to expand the store, the board faces some important and challenging decisions. I will apply my current board experience to address these tough issues and better serve the members.

I am extremely proud to serve on the board for Ever’man Natural Foods. As a chiropractic physician in Pace for twenty years, I have dedicated my life to the health and well being of people. Having served as a board member on the Pace Rotary Club and International Academy of Chiropractic Neurology, I have gained valuable leadership experience that I intend to benefit our endeavors. Some of my special interests are in organic gardening and farming using traditional methods and heirloom vegetables. Using the lessons that I have gained, I will work diligently to further the objectives of the membership such as low costs, high quality foods/products and an enriched shopping experience. I welcome comments and suggestions to improve our cooperative.
Lynn Jackson
I am a native Pensacolian and lifetime member of Ever'man. I love this area and have an investment and commitment to see our community thrive and prosper, especially in the areas of health and wellness. My experience as a mother, teacher, and massage therapist, has prepared me to serve the Ever'man community. Over the years I have read, studied and applied many whole food and wellness principles to create a healthy lifestyle for myself, my family and my clients. My long experience in health and wellness will assist Ever'man in making the important upcoming decisions we face as a cooperative. I will bring a sense of calm, peace and serenity to this work. I am honored and thrilled to serve on the Ever'man board!
