VOLUNTARY RECALL: Grimmway Farms has issued a voluntary recall on certain carrot products because they may contain Salmonella. 

These recalled products include Bunny Luv Cut and Peeled Baby Carrots with the best-if-used-by date of August 17, 2021, and August 20, 2021, and Cal-Organic Petite Carrots with best-if-used-by-date of August 15, 2021.

VOLUNTARY RECALL: Cuisine Solutions, Sterling, VA is initiating a voluntary recall of its JUST Egg flavored plant-based “bites” products due to undeclared allergens.

Cuisine Solutions, Sterling, VA is initiating a voluntary recall of its JUST Egg flavored plant-based “bites” products due to undeclared allergens. A limited number of 2-pouch retail packages may contain an incorrect sealed pouch containing whole-egg and milk products.  The interior plastic pouches are properly labeled to distinguish the products.  People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk or eggs run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

The 8.4 oz recalled products have “Best Before” dates from FEB-22-2022 to APR-09-2022.  The “Best Before” dates are on the back of the package.  Approximately 80,632 retails boxes have been distributed nationwide. Only one incorrect pouch has been identified at this time and there have been no adverse reactions reported.

Cuisine Solutions is working with all distribution and retail partners to remove any potentially impacted products. Consumers may return for a full refund any incorrect packaging that contained the incorrect product to the retailer where they were purchased.

VOLUNTARY RECALL: FSIS Issues Public Health Alert for Raw Ground Turkey Products Linked to Salmonella Hadar Illness

1-lb. packages of Plainville Farms Ground White Turkey 93% | 7% Fat with Use by/freeze/sell by date of 1/10/21 on the front of the package.

FSIS and its public health partners, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), public health and regulatory officials are investigating a multistate outbreak of 28 Salmonella Hadar illnesses in 12 states with onset dates ranging from December 28, 2020 through March 4, 2021. The traceback investigation for one case patient identified the patient consumed ground turkey produced by Plainville Brands, LLC. An intact, unopened package of Plainville Brands’ ground turkey collected from this case-patient’s home tested positive for Salmonella Hadar and was closely related genetically to the sample from the patient. Evidence collected to date does not link all illnesses to this establishment. Based on the continuing investigation, additional product from other establishments may be involved. FSIS continues to work with CDC and state and local public health partners on this investigation and will provide updated information as it becomes available.

CJ Foods, Inc., a division of CJ America, Inc., of La Palma, CA, is voluntarily recalling Annie Chun’s Japanese-Style Teriyaki Noodle Bowls because it may contain undeclared peanuts. Use of this product may cause serious allergic reaction or illness in people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanut.

Pete and Gerry's has confirmed that Allmark Foods has expanded the voluntary Recall first announced on December 20, 2019 to include all hard-boiled eggs manufactured at their Gainesville, GA facility. This includes all hard-boiled egg items for Pete and Gerry's, Nellie's and numerous other brands. This recall does not impact any Pete and Gerry's fresh, shell egg or liquid egg products.

VOLUINTARY RECALL: The Allergen Free Bakers

The Allergen Free Bakers have issued a voluntary Class III product recall on a specific lot code of “The Piping Gourmet Whoopie Pies.”  This recall has been initiated due to a piece of rubber being found in an individual whoopie pie.  While there has been no reported health or safety issues, they are recalling the affected lots out of an abundance of caution. 

 

The Lot Code of affected items is AF19128 which can be found on the Best Buy sticker.

Voluntary Recall: King Arthur Flour

October 04, 2019

In association with ADM Milling Company, King Arthur Flour, Inc., announced today a voluntary national recall of specific lots of its Unbleached All-Purpose Flour (5 lb. & 25 lb.)

We are taking this voluntary precautionary step because of the potential presence of E. coli 026 which was discovered through sampling. King Arthur Flour has not received any confirmed reports of illnesses related to this product.

This flour was milled at an ADM Milling facility in Buffalo, NY, and was distributed by King Arthur Flour through retailers and distributors nationwide, and sold through our website, catalogue, and store in Norwich, VT.

The only product affected by this voluntary recall is our Unbleached All-Purpose Flour (5 lb. & 25 lb.) from the Best Used by Dates and Lot Codes listed below.

Voluntary Recall: Bubbies Homemade Ice Cream and Desserts, Inc.

Bubbies Homemade Ice Cream and Desserts, Inc. is issuing a voluntary product recall for our retail Mochi Ice Cream and Cookie Dough Ice Cream Bites six-piece products, effective immediately.

This recall has been initiated because "free-floating" foreign plastic pieces have been discovered in a small number of the resealable trays and traced back to a non-conformance at our packaging supplier's facility. Although we do not believe there is a reasonable probability that the use of these products will cause serious adverse health consequences, in an abundance of caution, to account for the possibility that any plastic might adhere to the product, we are taking a proactive position to voluntarily recall these products in the interests of consumer safety. This voluntary recall is being made with the knowledge of the federal Food and Drug Administration.
